SS 316Ti (UNS S31635, WNR 1.4571) is a titanium-stabilized version of 316 stainless steel, engineered to resist intergranular corrosion after prolonged exposure to high temperatures — a common failure mode in standard 316 grade. The addition of titanium stabilizes carbon within the microstructure, preventing chromium carbide precipitation at grain boundaries during welding or elevated-temperature service. This makes 316Ti pipe the preferred choice for high-temperature process piping, heat exchangers, and chemical processing equipment operating above 800°F (426°C), where standard 316/316L grades are prone to sensitization.
Every batch we manufacture or supply carries minimum tensile strength of 75 ksi (515 MPa) and yield strength of 30 ksi (205 MPa), with elongation up to 35–54%, giving the material excellent formability alongside high strength. Our 316Ti pipes offer strong resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion and creep, a melting range of approximately 1345–1440°C, and stable performance at operating temperatures up to 1800°F.
