A weldo flange, also known as a weld neck or welding neck flange, is a critical component in piping systems and pressure tanks. It's essential for connecting pipes and creating a leak-free, high-strength junction. The phrase "weldo" is a colloquialism used in some areas, although the more typical term is "weld neck" or "welding neck" flange. The unique design of a weldo flange distinguishes it from other flange types. It has a long neck that protrudes from the flange hub and is tapered. This neck is made to be welded straight onto the pipe. The neck's beveled end offers the ideal welding angle, guaranteeing a strong and safe bond. This design is a popular option for applications where weld integrity and quality are crucial since it makes it simple to do radiographic inspection of the weld.
The ANSI B16.5 Weldoflange dimensions are intended for both pipe systems and flanged fittings. The Standard MSS-SP-44 Weldoflange specification includes dimensions, tolerances, marking, testing, pressure and temperature ratings, materials, and procedures for designing apertures for flanges and flanged fittings in pipeline systems. The following points are included.
ASME B16.47 Weldoflange has been limited to flanges and flanged fittings composed of cast or forged materials. Stainless Steel Weldoflange Suppliers export blind and reducing flanges made of different metals such as cast, forged, or plate components. This Standard also includes standards and recommendations for the ANSI B16.5 Weldoflange for bolting, gaskets, and flange joints.

The Weldo Flanges are manufactured of high-quality carbon steel, which has exceptional tensile strength, ductility, and corrosion resistant properties. They are also available with galvanized coated surfaces, which boosts their endurance and extends their corrosion resistance properties in the hostile environments in which they operate. The coating also helps to decrease erosion caused by harmful particles or fluids that come into touch with the weldo flanges while in use.
Weldo Flanges are particularly affordable since they do not require excessively long weld lengths, saving time and money when utilized in operation. The majority of these flanges are composed of carbon steel, which is more expensive than other exotic alloys such as stainless steels. Another significant advantage of this variety of flanges is that they come with pre-painted coatings that improve their entire appearance and feel, making them ideal for use.

Every Standards have clearly requirements for steel flanges’ marking style, usually the marking words include seller’s Logo, buyer’s Logo (OEM), standard number, flange’s type, flange’s pressure, flange’s size, flange’s material, place of origin, heat number and other words for convenient to trace. If the flanges repaired by welding, it must mark on flanges showing this flange repared by welding. If the flange’s dimensions (OD, ID, PCD, Thickness, Holes number, Holes diameter, Tolerance etc) are different with the normal standard, it also must mark on flanges where it is different with normal ones. Another important place is heat number marking, it is the tracing base for every piece flange, and from the heat number we can trace to the beginning of raw material import.
Carbon Steel Weldo Flanges and Stainless Steel Slip On Flanges are delivered with or without surface protection, as determined by the manufacturer.
The company delivers Weldo Flanges in standard packaging, without surface protection or end protectors (caps). Special packaging, protective covers, and end protectors (caps) can be agreed upon.
